Next up a few photos by--and of--one of the "3rd Gen" representatives:

This batch was taken by "G5" (grandchild #5 of seven) in 2017 at either  The Plains Conservation Center in Aurora, Colorado,  or the Rocky Mountain Arsenal NWR, north of the Denver-Aurora boundary.

Plains is located almost literally in his  grandparents' backyard. (Disclaimer: It's actually a couple miles east of their house in Aurora.)  As a side note, his mother worked there in her "younger days."

An Introduction...

Welcome to our blog!  We are amateur photographers who enjoy all sorts of wildlife, especially birds! You'll usually see us with a camera close at hand whether we are in our own backyards or out and about in our home towns, home states, or elsewhere across the country.  Home--as far as this blog is concerned--could be Colorado, Oregon, California, Georgia or any other place our three generations of backyard birders/photographers have ever lived.  Or, perhaps, just visited.  We do enjoy an occasional bit of traveling.

The photos below, for instance, were taken last week in Barr Lake State Park, which we consider a "backyard" park not too far from a part of the family living in Aurora, Colorado.  Other family members call the Portland, Oregon, area home.
